Personality:
His temper is short, his actions are violent and were he any more stubborn, nothing would ever get done beyond his duties on his home planet Cholnak. Given that nobody has ever questioned him or gone against him and won, he also has a rather spoiled attitude as well. If, however, you manage to convince him that what needs doing will satisfy his own wants or needs in the long term, he just might do it.

He doesn't act that way to be mean, however; early on in his rule, people simply got him involved in petty squabbles too much and he stopped putting up with it. As an immortal demigod, he also isn't able to relate to people very well, but he at least tries from time to time. On a good day, someone might even convince him to let a friend or family member live a little while longer with considerably little fuss.

One other greatly notable quality is his xenophobia- a powerful dislike and distrust for outsiders to his planet. There have been very few aliens sighted because the few that do come either are caught up in violent storms or have received a personal threat from Hydrolus himself to leave or be eaten.
Strengths: Water manipulation/bending, powerful melee attacks, masterful swimmer, resilient to blunt weapons such as hammers or clubs.
Weaknesses: Is slower moving, vulnerable to electricity, sharp weapons

Coming to Phaeton has left him extremely weak in comparison to his usual level of power; he tires out after extended fighting or pursuit of his target, his ability to manipulate water doesn't work on as great a scale, and he can't dissolve into the bodies of water and render himself invisible in Phaeton.

Personality:
She's quirky, she's peppy, she loves what she does. It takes a lot to wear her out, both physically and emotionally, and it makes her almost perfect for her job- if she could stay still on the ship, her crew wouldn't be quite as annoyed. She's highly curious too, which has been beneficial in some ways (like finding an entire stash of gold because she saw something shiny behind a wooden wall in a house) and detrimental (getting half of the ship cursed because she wanted to see what a supposedly magic artifact they found did.)

When around Hydrolus, however, she becomes quiet and nervous; she sailed on his seas and he had been known to wipe out entire fleets in fits of rage, so naturally she'll do as he says; the two at least get along because of it.
History:
Born to a pirate mom, she was raised on the seashore- she never actually went out on a boat until she was 14. Her time on land was spent learning to pick pockets and the basic essentials of self-preservation: food, fighting and fixing what's broken. She left the family at 17 and joined a ship called the Bloody Mer, and sailed with them since. Then one day, a stranger appeared in an island town looking for someone to help her, promising big rewards for whomever did...
Strengths: Fast-moving, stealthy, handy with knives and shortswords, good at solving puzzles
Weaknesses: weak melee fighter, can't use a gun very well, is easy to spook
other: She provides the subtle, delicate services of spying and stealing during particular assignments, but should it be too much for her, Hydrolus will provide brute force.
